CMC Rocks QLD will continue calling Willowbank home, with Australia’s premier country music festival confirmed to remain in the Ipswich region through to 2028.Already recognised as the largest country and roots music festival in the Southern Hemisphere, CMC Rocks QLD will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2027, bringing thousands of country music fans back to the region from 17–21 March 2027.
The milestone festival is expected to attract almost 11,000 visitors, generate more than 101,000 visitor nights and contribute approximately $17.5 million to Queensland’s economy.
For the Ipswich and West Moreton region, the benefits extend well beyond the festival gates. Major events such as CMC Rocks bring significant visitor expenditure into the region, supporting local accommodation providers, hospitality venues, retailers and other businesses while showcasing the region to visitors from across Australia and overseas.
The announcement follows a record-breaking 2026 CMC Rocks QLD, which achieved the highest ticket sales in the festival’s history.
With the festival now secured at Willowbank through to 2028, the region is set to continue benefiting from one of Queensland’s biggest destination events.
