Funding boost for social infrastructure

Not-for-profit organisations can receive a share of $8 million in grants from the Palaszczuk Government to upgrade community infrastructure and accelerate COVID-19 economic recovery.

Community Infrastructure Investment Partnership (CIIP) competitve grants program is in line with the Queensland Government’s Unite and Recover Economic Recovery Plan and the Strategy for Social Infrastructure which supports place-based community-driven solutions to local issues.

Queensland Home Builder Applications

Queenslanders can now officially apply for a $25,000 grant to build or renovate their home under the HomeBuilder initiative, as the state’s construction sector continues to play a key role in Queensland’s economic recovery from COVID-19.

Queenslanders who build a new home, substantially renovate their home, or purchase an off-the-plan home such as a unit in an apartment complex or new home in a new estate being developed can now apply for the $25 000 grant.

Building Acceleration Fund

Applications are now open for the $200 million Building Acceleration Fund initiative to deliver multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects and create jobs throughout Queensland. 

Applications for the funding would be open until 5pm on Friday 4 September 2020.
