IPSWICH & WEST MORETON

Employer Workshop to Focus on Building Stronger Workforces
Local employers are invited to attend a practical Business and Workforce Capability Workshop designed to help businesses attract, retain and develop the workforce they need to grow.
Hosted by the Department of Customer Service, Small and Family Business in partnership with the Springfield Regional Jobs Committee and Workforce Evolve, the workshop has been developed in response to feedback from businesses across the Wacol, Richlands and Inala corridor.
While the event is being held in Wacol to make it easily accessible for businesses in the surrounding industrial precinct, registrations are welcome from employers across South East Queensland.
The two-hour session will explore practical workforce strategies, including attracting and recruiting staff, improving employee retention and engagement, and accessing apprenticeships, traineeships and work experience opportunities. Attendees will also hear about the range of support services available to help businesses build capability and strengthen their workforce.
Following the workshop, employers are invited to stay for informal networking, providing an opportunity to connect with other local businesses, industry representatives and workforce partners.
Whether you are a small business looking to recruit your first employee or a larger organisation planning for future workforce needs, the session will provide practical information, valuable connections and ideas that can be applied within your business.
