Free Farm Business Workshops Empower Women in Agriculture Across the Region
Women working in agriculture across Ipswich and West Moreton are being encouraged to take part in a series of free workshops designed to strengthen farm businesses and support long-term success.
Delivered through the Women in Agriculture program in partnership with The University of Queensland’s UQSkills initiative, the four-day Farm Business Workshops will provide practical tools and guidance for women at all stages of their agricultural journey.
The workshops are tailored for women aged 15 and over who are working in or running a farm, offering a valuable opportunity to step back from day-to-day operations and focus on business growth and strategy. Participants will gain insights into clarifying their business vision, navigating family business dynamics, and building stronger plans for the future.
Workshops will be held across the region in the coming months, including Gatton in May, Boonah in June, and Esk in July, making the program accessible to women throughout the Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset areas.
Regional Development Australia Ipswich & West Moreton Inc supports initiatives like this that build capability, confidence and resilience across the region’s agricultural sector.
Places are limited, and interested participants are encouraged to register via the Women in Agriculture website. Following registration, applicants will be contacted to complete the UQSkills application process and provide evidence of farm ownership or employment to secure a funded place.
