Overview
QAPF will support delivery of the Queensland's Time to Shine: 10-year arts and cultural strategy priorities, including sharing our stories and celebrating our storytellers. QAPF replaces the Queensland Arts Showcase Program (QASP).Objectives
- Support Queensland artists and organisations to create and share great work
- Support the development of new work that reflects the state's stories, people and places
- Grow opportunites for d/Deaf and disabled audiences, artists and companies to access and share new work.
About this grant
Funding- General stream: up to $70,000 for projects up to one year
- Individuals: up to $20,000 for projects up to one year
- Two-year project grants: up to $150,000 for exceptional, large-scale, two-year projects with matched funding (at least 30% cash investment). Before applying to this stream, you must contact Arts Queensland to discuss your project to determine its eligibility for two-year support.
Additional funding up to $10,000 is available to support access costs needed to deliver the project, in recognition of the additional expenses incurred to support artists or audiences with disability.
The Fund supports applications across a broad range of activities and artforms including visual arts, craft and design; performing arts; classical and contemporary music; writing; and multi-arts. Eligible activities include:
- Creative development of new work (i.e. brand-new work or significantly different interpretations of existing work)
- Production, presentation, exhibition and distribution of new work (including new exhibitions of existing work)
- Collaboration with a nationally or internationally significant artist or company in the development or presentation of new work.
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for this grant you must:- Be based in Queensland
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) in same name used in the application.
