RDA IWM CEO Rees Banks and Communications Officer Bri met with Council representatives at Love and Karma in Gatton, with discussions focusing on the region's continued growth, infrastructure priorities, local employment opportunities and the IWM Jobs Board.
The visit also provided an opportunity to inspect Robinsons Road in Gatton, which is set to benefit from a $3.09 million upgrade, supported by almost $2.48 million in Australian Government funding through the Safer Local Roads Infrastructure Program.
The planned works include widening approximately 1.5 kilometres of Robinsons Road to a consistent eight-metre width, strengthening the pavement to heavy vehicle standards, and upgrading line marking and signage along an additional 800 metres.
As the Lockyer Valley continues to experience significant growth, investment in local infrastructure remains important in supporting businesses, industry and community connectivity.
RDA IWM values its ongoing collaboration with Lockyer Valley Regional Council and the opportunity to remain informed of regional priorities, challenges and future development opportunities.
