Regional Priorities Shared with Scott Buchholz MP
Regional Development Australia (RDA) Ipswich & West Moreton CEO Rees Banks recently met with Federal Member for Wright, Scott Buchholz MP, during a visit to Canberra to discuss the opportunities, challenges and future priorities of communities across the Ipswich & West Moreton region.
As part of RDA’s ongoing advocacy, Rees shared the What Our Community Needs priorities for Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset, highlighting the key infrastructure and regional development projects identified by each community.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the region’s growth, emerging opportunities and the importance of continued advocacy to ensure local priorities remain part of the national conversation.
RDA Ipswich & West Moreton works collaboratively with representatives from across the political spectrum and all levels of government to champion regional priorities and build support for projects that strengthen communities, grow local economies and improve regional liveability.
Maintaining strong relationships with elected representatives is an important part of ensuring the voices of Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset continue to be heard and considered as future opportunities arise.
