Scenic Rim Eat Local Month Launch Signals Standout Year Ahead
The 2026 Scenic Rim Eat Local Month is shaping up to be one of the region’s most exciting yet, following a vibrant launch event celebrating 15 years of the iconic paddock-to-plate experience.
Rees Banks attended the launch, which showcased the very best of the region’s food, farming and community spirit. Guests were treated to a creative and memorable menu, featuring everything from edible flower cupcakes to the surprisingly popular carrot custard — a testament to the innovation and flair of Scenic Rim Regional Council.
The event also brought together key regional leaders and advocates, including Tom Sharp, Duncan McInnes, Julie Mark and Scott Buchholz, highlighting the strong support behind this flagship event.
Widely regarded as Australia’s most authentic food and farming experience, Eat Local Month continues to draw attention to the Scenic Rim’s rich agricultural landscape, local producers and immersive visitor experiences.
With a packed program of events now available, organisers are encouraging locals and visitors alike to explore what’s on offer and secure bookings early, as many experiences are expected to sell out.
