Taking Our Region’s Priorities to Canberra

RDA Ipswich & West Moreton CEO Adj. Prof. Rees Banks recently met with The Hon Shayne Neumann MP, Federal Member for Blair, in Canberra to share the organisation’s newly released Strategic Plan 2026–2030.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the priorities and opportunities shaping the Ipswich & West Moreton region and ensure local economic, workforce and community priorities continue to be represented at a Federal level.

As the Federal Member for Blair, Shayne represents a significant part of the Ipswich & West Moreton community in the Australian Parliament and has represented the electorate since 2007.

The discussion forms part of RDA Ipswich & West Moreton’s ongoing work to strengthen connections between the region and all levels of government and advocate for the needs of local communities, businesses and industries.

The RDA Ipswich & West Moreton Strategic Plan 2026–2030 sets the organisation’s direction for the next four years, providing a framework to guide regional advocacy, collaboration and economic development.
