Workforce Connections Continues to Support Somerset Employers

Regional Development Australia Ipswich & West Moreton (RDAIWM) continued its support for local businesses, with CEO Rees Banks and Women in Agriculture Project Manager Janne Dipple hosting another Workforce Connections Employer Support Session in Lowood, held on the 20 July.

Delivered through the Women in Agriculture Project in partnership with Somerset Regional Council, the session provided local employers with practical advice and free resources to help attract, recruit and retain staff.

Employers had the opportunity to learn more about advertising vacancies through the free IWM Jobs platform, discuss current workforce challenges and explore additional support available, including Microsoft 365 and digital skills training.

The Workforce Connections sessions are designed to make recruitment easier for regional businesses by connecting employers with practical tools, local employment initiatives and training opportunities that strengthen workforce capability.

RDAIWM CEO Rees Banks said the sessions provide valuable opportunities to engage directly with employers and better understand the workforce needs of the Somerset region.
