Women in Agriculture Project Secures Funding to Boost Regional Workforce
RDA Ipswich & West Moreton is proud to announce the success of its Women in Agriculture project under the Queensland Government’s Growing Workforce Participation Fund.
The initiative will create accessible, entry-level pathways for up to 100 women to join the agriculture workforce, supporting one of the most vital industries in the region.
Member for Lockyer, Jim McDonald, welcomed the project, saying:
“As one of the most fertile regions in the world, agriculture is the backbone of the Lockyer Valley economy. Projects like these are great opportunities to support the industry and strengthen its workforce. Farming doesn’t just happen in the field; administrative and operational roles are vitally important. It’s great to see this project provide a holistic approach to address the future needs of our ag businesses.”
