RDA IWM Strengthens Ties with Somerset Region

RDA Ipswich & West Moreton (RDA IWM) continued its strong engagement across the region with a visit to the Somerset Region this week.

CEO Rees Banks and Ipswich Acting Mayor Cr Nicole Jonic began the morning with Cr Sally Jess — also an RDA IWM Committee Member — over coffee at Brisbane Valley Roasters, before meeting with Mayor Jason Wendt and the Somerset Regional Council team.

The discussions focused on key priorities for the region, including employment opportunities through the IWM Jobs Board, grant funding options, and the urgent need for upgrades to the Brisbane Valley Highway. Council also outlined its top five priorities for RDA IWM to advocate for on behalf of the community.
