Lockyer Valley Jobs and Skills Forum Highlights Workforce Challenges and Opportunities
Representatives from across the region recently came together in the Lockyer Valley for the Lockyer Valley Jobs and Skills Forum, hosted by Workforce Australia, to discuss current workforce challenges, emerging issues and potential solutions for the local area.
The forum provided an important platform for collaboration between industry, community and workforce stakeholders, with a strong focus on identifying practical, place-based responses to workforce needs.
A key highlight of the event was a panel discussion featuring Janne Dipple, Women in Agriculture Project Manager, who shared insights from a producer’s perspective. Janne outlined the workforce challenges being experienced on the ground within the agricultural sector and emphasised the importance of attracting, retaining and supporting workers in regional industries.
The event also provided valuable opportunities to reconnect with familiar stakeholders and build new relationships with individuals and organisations committed to strengthening workforce outcomes across the Lockyer Valley.
Ongoing collaboration and local insight will remain critical as the region continues to work towards sustainable employment and skills development outcomes.
