Community Conversations Strengthen Regional Partnerships Across the Scenic Rim

Regional Development Australia Ipswich & West Moreton (RDAIWM) CEO Rees Banks and Communications Officer Bri Brown spent the day meeting with community leaders across the Scenic Rim, continuing conversations about the opportunities, challenges and future priorities shaping the region.

The first stop was Canungra, where Rees and Bri met with Joseph from the Canungra Chamber of Commerce to discuss the work RDAIWM is delivering across the Ipswich & West Moreton region and explore how its programs and initiatives can further support local businesses and the wider Canungra community.

The day continued on Tamborine Mountain, where they met with Greg from the Tamborine Mountain Community Foundation and consultant to the Ipswich Hospice Foundation. Discussions focused on community priorities, funding opportunities and identifying ways to strengthen future outcomes for the Tamborine Mountain community through collaboration and strategic partnerships.

Meeting directly with community leaders is an important part of understanding local priorities and ensuring regional initiatives respond to the needs of each community and we look forward to continuing to work together to support strong, connected and resilient communities across the Scenic Rim.
