Free Farm Business Training Coming to Boonah

Agricultural business owners and managers in the Scenic Rim will have a new opportunity to access free, nationally accredited Farm Business Management training in Boonah this October.

Delivered through the Women in Agriculture project, an initiative of Regional Development Australia Ipswich & West Moreton (RDAIWM), the four-day Farm Business Management Skillset is designed to strengthen the business capabilities of agricultural businesses and support their long-term sustainability.

The Boonah program follows the success of recent training delivered across the region, including Gatton and Esk, where participants have now celebrated the completion of their qualifications.

Training focuses on practical areas important to running and planning for an agricultural business, including family business structures, succession planning, business performance, risk management and planning for the future.

Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Statement of Attainment for four Diploma-level units.

The Boonah program will be held at the Boonah Cultural Centre on 13 and 14 October and 27 and 28 October 2026 and is free for eligible South East Queensland agricultural businesses.

The new intake provides another opportunity to extend the program into the Scenic Rim and connect more local agricultural businesses with practical training and support.
