Bunnings Legend of the Tongs

Bunnings believes the heart of Australian footy beats beyond the oval - it lives in the communities that gather, cheer, and share moments that truly matter. It lives in the volunteers who tirelessly show up week in and week out to build their clubs up and keep them going.

Bunnings will be searching the country for these sorcerers of the sausage, these masters of the char, and rewarding these local legends of the tongs each week over the AFL season with legendary prizes up for grabs.

Each Weekly Club Winner, as determined by the judges, will win a Weekly Club Prize Pack valued at $585.
- 1 x Jumbuck 6-Burner BBQ;
- 2 x Jumbuck 2-piece tool set;
- 2 x Legend of the Tongs branded aprons;
- 1 x Bunnings branded pop-marquee; and
- 2 x Bunnings branded straw hats or Bunnings branded beanies (Adult size) (subject to availability in the winner’s State/Territory).

The Nominated Legend to which the best six (6) valid Legend of the Tongs Shortlist Selection (Individual) entries, as determined by the judges, and the two (2) Community Choice entries (as voted by the community) relates will each win an Ultimate 2026 Toyota AFL Grand Final Prize, being a trip for the winning Nominated Legend and a guest to attend the 2026 Toyota AFL Grand Final and AFL Footy Festival in Melbourne, Victoria from Thursday 24th September 2026 to Sunday 27th September 2026 (inclusive), valued at $4,477 each.

One Legend will be crowned the Legend of the Golden Tongs at the AFL Footy Festival, winning an additional $25,000 in Bunnings product & materials for their footy club.
