Danks Trust Annual Grant Round

Provides financial support to communities in need.

Commencing from the 2026 round (until varied), the Trustees will consider online applications from Eligible Organisations to deliver initiatives that:
1. Focus on either 'Education of disadvantaged people / communities' (Education), or 'Relief of poverty' (Poverty);
2. Align with at least one of the 'service types' and supports at least one of the 'target age group' and 'target cohorts' identified by the Trustees (as set out below*); and
3. Seek to break the cycle of disadvantage, are evidence based & cost effective, can generate leverage (through volunteers, other funders, partnerships and or matching initiatives), target long term systemic change, and / or can demonstrate a track record and or sustainability.

Danks Trust has one annual ‘by Application’ grant round:
- Online applications close at the end of March. Links to the online application can be obtained by emailing [email protected]
- Organisations eligible to apply for a grant are not-for-profit charitable organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) & Income Tax Exemption (ITEC) status (Eligible Organisations)
- Grants are one-off / single year grants that generally range from $10,000 to $50,000
- Between $0.75m and $1 m (total) is distributed each year.
