Previously known as the Queensland Destination Events Program, Homegrown has supported more than 1,000 events with more than $25 million in funding. The program has recently been refreshed to align with the Queensland Government's Destination 2045: Delivering Queensland's Tourism Future 20-year vision and will create even more opportunities for events to grow and thrive.
About This Grant
The Homegrown – Queensland’s Destination Events Fund (Homegrown) helps connect events with the unique destinations they call home, ensuring the benefits of these events are felt far and wide across the State.
Application Process
Simplified and updated funding tiers
Destination Signature Event (previously ‘Destination’)
Destination Significant Event (previously ‘Significant’)
Increased funding available
Destination Signature Events can now apply for up to $40,000 per year (up from $25,000)
Multi-year funding now available in both tiers
