This year’s theme recognises 50 years of NAIDOC Week—a powerful platform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, culture, and resistance, and honours the Elders and organisers who paved the way, while embracing a future led by community and sustainability.

Grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 are available to support NAIDOC Week activities across Queensland that:

Celebrating the 2026 NAIDOC Week theme
Showcase the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through vibrant local stories, breathtaking art, and inspiring cultural activities.
Bring all Queenslanders together to honour this legacy, strengthen respectful relationships, and champion equity, inclusion, and social cohesion.

About This Grant

The Queensland Government is inviting communities to celebrate Fifty Years of Deadly with the opening of the 2026 NAIDOC Week Grants.

NAIDOC Week (5 -12 July 2026) is an opportunity for all Queenslanders to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories, and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
