IPSWICH & WEST MORETON
PMF Foundation Major Funding Round
Overview
Our approach is guided by a commitment to strategic, systemic solutions that make a lasting difference in the communities and sectors we support. To achieve this, we focus our funding on three key areas:
1. Education
Education is one of the most powerful levers for breaking cycles of disadvantage. PMF Foundation supports organisations that are driving long-term change in learning systems, improving access, engagement, and equity for all children and young people.
We fund initiatives that:
- Provide early intervention to support children at risk of disengaging from school.
- Promote equity in education, particularly for First Nations students and disadvantaged communities.
- Strengthen leadership and organisational capacity in schools and education programs.
- Influence systemic change through evidence-based approaches, collaboration, and policy engagement.
2. Environment
We fund initiatives that protect and restore the natural environment, address the climate emergency, and foster community-led environmental action.
Our environmental funding supports projects that:
- Enhance biodiversity and ecosystem health.
- Promote climate adaptation and mitigation.
- Encourage innovation, collaboration, and youth engagement in environmental solutions.
- Drive systemic change for a sustainable future.
3. First Nations
PMF Foundation is committed to supporting First Nations-led initiatives that strengthen self-determination, cultural preservation, and community wellbeing.
We prioritise projects that:
- Are led by or co-designed with First Nations communities.
- Preserve and celebrate culture, language, and Country.
- Support education, training, and economic participation opportunities.
- Build long-term capacity and leadership within communities.
Across all our focus areas, PMF Foundation funds initiatives that are:
- Strategic and long-term: tackling the root causes of challenges rather than just the symptoms.
- Capacity building: strengthening organisations to become sustainable, self-reliant, and effective.
- Collaborative: encouraging partnerships that amplify impact and drive innovation.
- Impact-focused: measuring success, learning from outcomes, and scaling what works.
Through our funding, we aim to empower the innovative, dedicated people behind each initiative, the changemakers who can transform their sectors and communities.
About This Grant
Offers funding to not-for-profit organisations and projects across three funding streams: Education, Environment and First Nations.
At PMF Foundation, we believe in supporting initiatives that create meaningful, long-term impact. Since our establishment in 2008, we have been dedicated to empowering organisations and communities to address challenges independently and sustainably, through early intervention, capacity building, and fostering self-reliance.
