Inala University Study Hub Officially Opens to Support Local Students

The Inala University Study Hub has officially opened, marking an important step in improving access to higher education for students in and around the Inala community.

The hub was officially opened on Thursday 29 January 2026 by the Hon Jason Clare MP, Federal Minister for Education. The opening was attended by invited guests including Rees Banks, along with representatives from the University of Southern Queensland and government.

Supported by the Australian Government through the Suburban University Study Hub Program and led by the University of Southern Queensland, the Inala University Study Hub is open to all tertiary education students. It provides a locally delivered, community-based study environment designed to remove barriers to participation in higher education.

Located at Level 1, 20 Wirraway Parade, Inala, the hub offers students access to dedicated study spaces, high-speed internet, video conferencing facilities, printing services, and a range of academic and student support services.

Beyond providing a place to study, the hub aims to strengthen future skills and employability outcomes in the region. By partnering with local businesses and industries, the Inala University Study Hub will support students through internships and mentoring opportunities, helping them gain practical experience and build professional networks while they study.

The opening was also supported by the Hon Milton Dick MP, Federal Member for Oxley, and UniSQ Chancellor the Hon Dr John McVeigh, highlighting strong collaboration between government, education providers and the local community.

The Inala University Study Hub is expected to play a key role in expanding education pathways and supporting long-term skills development for the region.
