Regional Leaders Gather at Somerset Business Chamber Event

The Somerset Business Chamber hosted a well-attended networking event this week at Bebe’s Briedis Lodge, a venue overlooking the scenic Somerset Dam. The evening brought together local business representatives, regional leaders, and government officials to discuss emerging opportunities and major initiatives across the Somerset region.

Somerset Regional Council Mayor Jason Wendt and Attorney-General Hon Deb Frecklington addressed attendees, providing updates on the region’s major projects and outlining the Queensland Government’s Small and Family Business – Secure Communities Partnership Program. Their insights highlighted ongoing investment and support for local businesses and communities.

Representatives from Regional Development Australia Ipswich & West Moreton were also present, including RDA Committee members Cr Sally Jess and Cheryl Gaedtke, and it was great to catch up with local Councillor Cr Tiara Hurley during the event.

The Chamber was widely praised for delivering an informative and well-organised event in one of the region’s most striking locations.
