Strengthening Regional Connections in the Lockyer Valley
RDA Ipswich & West Moreton continued its regional engagement last week with a visit to the Lockyer Valley, where members met with Jim McDonald MP and representatives from Lockyer Valley Regional Council.
The visit included the official introduction of newly appointed RDAIWM Chair, Councillor Nicole Jonic (Ipswich City Council) and focused on key initiatives to support workforce growth and regional development.
Discussions highlighted the Growing Workforce Participation Fund, which aims to build strong partnerships with regional industries to enhance workforce sustainability and longevity. The team also shared updates on the ‘What Our Community Needs’ Lockyer Valley Fact Sheets and explored opportunities to bring priority projects to life.
The IWM Jobs Board was also a key focus, with its ongoing role in connecting locals to local employment opportunities across the region.
With collaboration and momentum building, the future looks bright for the Lockyer Valley.
